With this lesson in mind, they will create a journal entry with two parts. For the first part of the journal entry, they should think about the lesson and how it compares with the strategies and methods discussed in this Study.com lesson. They should write about the parts of the lesson that matched the goals of effective teaching and the parts that need to be improved.
For the second part of the journal entry, they should describe how they would change going forward. Taking the lesson from the first part, ask them to write about a few things that they would change now that they are empowered with new information. As an alternative to the second part, give students a topic related to the area they will be teaching ask them to create an activity that uses the strategies and methods discussed.
