Here are some of the ways to use time effectively
1. Analyze the negative effects of time.
Too many us are so busy that we don’t realize when we’re becoming anxious about time. Sometimes, the busyness is a sign that we’re being driven by “the need for action” (in short: being obsessed with being busy and to “get things done”). This causes us to spend too much time being reactive instead of proactive and it’s important to evaluate whether we’re spending the best possible time.
2. Keep time in perspective.
Our internal clocks are not perfect and there is no magic number of hours in a day that will get you to the end of the year with a positive outlook and a lifestyle that brings you happiness. Take some time to self-analyze and determine what is the most effective, efficient, and fair use of your time.
3. Meditate.
If you are really busy, it can be hard to have the time or even the inspiration to meditate. But meditation is proven to bring more benefits than you might expect, including the ability to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, calm the mind, and improve overall brain function.
4. Use breathing exercises.
Breathing exercises, often referred to as meditation, are a very effective way to increase your awareness of what your body is actually doing, as well as helping you to become more in touch with your thoughts and emotions.
5. Practice gratitude.
Research shows that gratitude is one of the top three things that boost happiness. As a student, I used to practice gratitude on my way to class. This gave me a more positive outlook on my day.
6. Get seven to nine hours of sleep.
